Details Released for the Second Race Next Year

Following on from yesterday’s announcement, today we unveil our plans for the second adventure in the 2021 Questars Adventure Race Series. This event takes place at the beginning of July and sees Questars return to an area which has proved very popular in the past.

The event will be based from a different venue in 2021, one not used by Questars before. It’s ideally situated in the heart of the Chilterns area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). With great trails for running and riding on the doorstep, you won’t have far to go to get out into the wonderful surrounding countryside.

Yesterday we revealed that the first event next year will be in May (not March). And the Trio Novice race will take place on the Sunday (not on the Saturday like it normally is). You can read all about this here. There are no such surprises or plans to do the same for this event.

Current indications suggest that a return to normal is likely by the summer next year, and Covid-19 restrictions will thankfully be a thing of the past. We therefore intend to hold this, the second event of 2021, on one day – Saturday 03 July 2021 – for everyone. So the Trio Novice race will take place on the Saturday alongside the Trio Masters race and the Duo race as normal.

Earlier this year, the 2020 Dorset Coast Adventure Race was provisionally rescheduled to take place on Saturday 03 July 2021. This announcement today obviously means that there won’t be a Questars adventure race in Dorset on Saturday 03 July 2021. It’s going to be in the Chilterns instead.

We apologise if this upsets your hopes or plans. It is always a bit of a juggling act with permissions and the availability of venues as to when and where Questars adventure race can take place. And rarely does everything come together as we would like.

We will be emailing everyone who entered the 2020 Dorset Coast Adventure Race to explain what their options are, and how to transfer their entry over to one of the 2021 events. This email will be sent out at the end of this week, when the details for all four of the events in 2021 have been revealed. Please only contact us if you haven’t received this email from us by Monday 7th December, and remember to double check your junk/spam folder first.

Will Race 3 or Race 4 be taking place in Dorset next year instead? Not long to go now until you can find out. We’ll be making the next announcement about another 2021 adventure race tomorrow.
