Protecting your privacy

Summary

We are committed to protecting your privacy. The personal information that you provide about yourself and your team members will be treated in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Qarsuk Ltd is the sole owner of any personal data received, which will be held securely in line with the law. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from that disclosed.

Information we Receive

When you use our entry system, contact us or interact with us in any other way, we may receive personal information about you and your team members, such as: an individual’s name, their email address, phone number and/or emergency contact details. You must have your team member’s permission before you let us know their personal information.

Using the information

The information we receive may be used in a number of different ways, such as to:

  • process your entry and payment
  • send you information about the event you are entered into or have expressed an interest in
  • help us to organise and deliver our events
  • enable our suppliers to provide their services at our events
  • contact your next of kin in an emergency
  • let you know about other similar events and/or our event partners
  • respond to your enquiry

Your contact details, including your email address, will never be passed on to any third parties for marketing purposes.

Online Payments

Our online entry system is managed by SiEntries and their Privacy Policy.

Disclosure of Information

All personal information received by us will be kept confidential. The personal information that you provide will only be disclosed to i) our employees, or ii) our partner organisations that we work with to provide our services (e.g. IT support, electronic scoring etc.), if necessary for the purposes outlined above.

In addition, we may disclose the personal information that you provide:

  • if we are legally obliged or permitted to do so
  • to the purchaser if we sell the business or part of it

Except for the aforementioned, we will never pass the personal information that you provide on to a third party without your consent.

Data Security

The personal information that you provide will be stored securely and we will take all reasonable precautions to prevent its loss, misuse or unauthorised alteration. You are responsible for keeping your user account password confidential.

Electronic transactions are protected by encryption technology.

By using our website you acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us in this way.

Opting Out

If we email you, it will be in accordance with UK laws. This means we may email you about the event you enter or show an interest in entering. And we may also occasionally email you about other similar products or services.

But rest assured we won’t bombard you with emails and we may not even email you at all – it depends on which of our events you enter or show an interest in entering. Every now and again we send a newsletter to those people on our email database. On average, these are sent approximately once a month. If at any time you no longer wish to receive such emails from us you can opt-out by following the ‘unsubscribe’ links on the newsletter or you can contact us with your request.
