National Champion Jersey Winners

  • Thursday 27 February 2025

With the end of our 2024 Summer and 2024/25 Winter Adventure Race Series, we were delighted to be able to crown our inaugural National Champions who will wear our National Champion jerseys for the 2025 Series.

Questars National Championship Jersey – a reminder

The Questars National Championship covers our Summer and Winter Series and runs from our first Summer event to our last winter event. Everyone’s top-three Summer Series results and top-two Winter Series results count towards their overall score.

There is a maximum of 1,000 points available at each of our Summer events and 800 points available at each of our Winter events. Race scores are converted into series points and series points from different races are added together for each person, to give their score.

Vets Scoring – a reminder

Our Vets category starts at 50 and an individual’s score is adjusted above this age with individuals receiving a 1.5% increase for every year that they are over 50.

All team members take the age of their oldest team member and ages are taken as of 1 March each year.

Female

The battle for the jersey was incredibly close with Helen Chapman (a three-time Summer and Winter Series Champion) and Emma Gill (our Winter Series Champion) separated by just eleven points! Helen ended up on a total combined score of 3,787 points, just edging out Emma who ended on 3,776 points.

Open

Carl Silver (our Summer Series Champion) held off the challenge from Tom Hards (a three-time Series winner) to take the jersey with a combined score of 4,371 points to 4,218 points.

Female Vets

Ella Pyman (our Summer Series Champion) held off the challenge from Pollie Boyle (our Winter Series Champion) to win with an adjusted Series score of 3,575 points to 3,329 points.

Open Vets

Nick Gracie (our Summer and Winter Series Champion) held off the challenge from Phil Haycock to take the jersey with a combined score of 4,227 points to 4,127 points.

It was great to see how this competition developed during the year and we end with four very worthy champions who all performed really consistently throughout both the Summer and Winter Series. Congratulations to everyone and we look forward to seeing our National Championship jerseys in action in our upcoming 2025 Series!
