Wed 4th Sep 2019 | 2019 Series Championship Results

Saturday's adventure race in the Malvern’s was the final race in the 2019 Questars Adventure Race Series, which saw the 2019 Series Champions crowned.

Campbell Walsh won his third race in succession to take the 2019 title with a series score of 3000 points (the maximum possible). The battle between Carl Silver and last year's series champion Tom Hards was closely fought all the way through this season, with Carl losing out to Tom in the last race on Saturday but doing just enough to finish the series in second place, 25 points ahead of Tom.

Caroline Gay scored consistently well in the last three races to secure the ladies title with 2484 series points. The second place ladies spot was again closely contested with Helen Chapman scoring well on Saturday but falling an agonising two points short of the 2428 series points that Laura Frowen had amassed earlier in the year.

Big congratulations to them all, and to everyone that took part in the series this year. See the 2019 Series Leaderboard for the final scores and positions.

Tue 2nd Jul 2019 | Berkshire Race Photos Now Online

The high temperatures meant The Quest Team were kept busy throughout the day keeping the water stations topped up - especially when the pump supplying water to the village hall over heated and stopped working - but we did still manage to get a few pictures of participants in action.

Look at all the Race Photos to see if you were caught in action at the start, around the event base, near the kayak transition / on the water, or at the finish.
