Final Details for the New Forest Questars March 2010

If you are a Questars Trio Novice Mens team taking part on Sunday 28 March please have a look at the updated team list here as your start times and kayak slot times have been amended slightly.
Team List & Start Times
Do take a look at the team lists above and note down your team number, start time and kayak slot time. Team packs will all be laid out around the edge of the hall at the event base in numerical order. There is no need for you to queue up at the Enquiries Desk – simply collect your numbered team pack on or after the time specified below. Timings
SATURDAY 27 MARCH - QUESTARS TRIO MASTERS & QUESTARS DUO
- Team pack collection opens 0830
- Race briefing 0850-0915
- Starts from 0930
- Finishing times between 1530 and 1620
- Results and prize giving 1645
SUNDAY 28 MARCH - QUESTARS TRIO NOVICES
- Team pack collection opens 0830
- Race briefing 0850-0915
- Starts from 0930
- Finishing times between 1430 and 1540
- Results and prize giving 1600
Extra Maps
Each team pack contains a course map printed on A3 waterproof paper pre marked with all the available checkpoints. If a team would like additional maps these need to be purchased from the Questars online entry system before Wednesday 24th March. Please note there are a limited number of extra maps available and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Update 10am Tues 23 March: Due to unprecedented demand, we have now sold out of extra maps. If you have missed out please email info@questtgo.com stating your team name and number and how many extra maps you'd like. If we have any spare, we will then put them to one side for you to collect from the enquiries desk on the day.
Directions & Car Parking
The Questars event base is at Brockenhurst College, Lyndhurst Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire SO42 7ZE.

There will be event signage to direct you from the A337 through the main college entrance and around to the car parking area. Please do share transport if possible. If each team comes in one vehicle it’ll be much kinder to the environment and you’ll also be able to talk team tactics on the way!
Transition Points
Upon arrival take your bike to the bike depot. All teams will be starting and finishing their race on bikes. There are remote transition points to the run and kayak stage. Once you start you won't return to Brockenhurst College until you finish so you will need to carry everything with you for the whole race. Thus if you wish to wear different footwear for the run stage you'll need to carry these with you. After setting up your bike in the bike depot follow the Quest signage to the sports hall to collect your team pack and attend the Race Briefing.
Facilities
Facilities at Questars event base include:
- a large indoor hall for the Race Briefings and Prize Giving plus showers and toilets
- hot food and drinks available throughout the day - refreshments available include sausage baps upon arrival and a hot dish after the race
- map pens available to buy from the Enquiries Desk
